Description
Damp-End is a two-part system comprising dry and wet ingredients mixed together. It is a waterproofing system specifically designed for damp proofing. In addition, all the binders and materials Damp-End comprises are eco-friendly.
When preparing the surface for application, ensure the substrate has been washed off and is free of any dust or objects and chemicals that might cause non-adhesion to the substrate. In addition, be sure the substrate has adequately dried before applying the product. We recommend using a primer like AquaPel to the substrate before applying Damp-End.
Damp-End is pre-packaged in a 20-litre bucket of dry mix and 20-litre of pre-mixed wet mix. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mix while continuously turning the combination over. Once the substrate is prepared as above, cover all surrounding and non-sprayable areas with masking tape to avoid damage or overspill. Next, apply the mixture with a block brush. The surface should be touch dry before applying subsequent coats. In addition, the area needs to cure after each application. Damp-End is touch-dry after about one to two hours at 25⁰C and fully cured at the same temperature after seven days. Two to three coats of one kit cover 15 – 30 m².
Brushes should be cleaned with water immediately after use since it will be very difficult to clean once the mixture has dried.
